No, they said that it was non-urgent and therefore should be done in a first world country and as it was not urgent there was no need for repatriation. (which I guess meant just upgrading the ticket already purchased rather than a whole new one)

They did pay for BIMC stay and the upgrade so we are not out of pocket but I guess I was just dissatisfied with the service and the time wasting of going round and round in circles for two days.

I am in no way focusing on this part of the holiday, we are not bitter and twisted by the experience. As I said before it is a live and learn experience. We have travelled before and never used our travel insurance so until you have to you dont know what things you would like included etc.

In the end he didnt even need an operation in Aus so all is for the best. I just wrote about our experience and didnt mean for it to be a terrible negative as it wasnt, more like a bit of an inconvenience as we were only there 7 days and selfishly wanted the most out of those days!
