We are booking part of our accomoodation direct with the hotel (mara river safai lodge). They have requested our credit card number to guarantee the reservation which will then be debited when we arrive. Not so sure about giving out my credit card number by email. Would prefer to pay in cash anyway and avoid all the fees etc. Rates are published in $US. What do others think. How do you usually go about payment when you book direct and not through a travel agent?
