Hi there. We are booked into the sofitel in just over 4 weeks time. I am a bit concerned I must admit but we are going to have our first night and see how it goes. If we need to we will move.
I have heard mixed reviews and taken it all on board. Trip advisors latest review is actually really good but others say it has gone downhill. No doubt there are some rooms that are more run down than others.
We stayed at the padma around 3 yrs ago. It is a very nice hotel. We had a deluxe cottage I think they were called which was lovely, breakfast was out of this world. It is a very big hotel and we did find it a bit impersonal compared to smaller ones we have stayed at. But all in all it is very nice. The room and bathroom were both lovely - spotlessly clean and the hotel had great service. They had 2 for 1 cocktails which we promptly turned up to each night which were great. No doubt that still happens.
Cant rate the others as I have only seen them and have not stayed there
