We (my wife and I and 2 small kids)stayed there for 5 nights last year as part of a month in Bali. We paid for a 'delux' room and when we questioned this were told all of the rooms were 'delux'. The aircon didn't work, the staff were not friendly and in when compared to the other hotels we stayed at, The Intercontinental, Grand Hyatt and Le Meridian all for a similar price, the Sofitel was way below these. We've been to Bali many times over the last 20 years and stayed in hotels from 2 star to 5 but unfortunately the Sofitel was the least enjoyable of the lot.
