just arrived back from bali and had decided to try Kuta beach again for a quite sitdown,relax and soak in the atmoshere. I had complained on a previous post how agrresive the beach sellers were and made our beach visit unpleasant. So this time armed with all the advice from the forum down to the beach we went.Lets see now,a firm NO, pretend we can't speak english,put on a set of headphones and pretend we are listening to music,go further up the beach towards legion where they are less agrresive.O.K> this time i'm prepared for them.No sooner had we sat down over they came and my wife said "go away",well that blew the no speak english plan.However the firm "NO" seemed to work as my wife and I were working as a team and they got the message or so we thought but 5min later they were back for round two so we got more agrresive with our "NO"s away thy went again then my wife decides to go for a swim and leaves me alone outgunned and outnumbered now I'm starting to weaken and the offer of at foot and shoulder massage for 50000rph was to good to refuse besides one of the advice I got from the forum was to do this and the hassels would stop. everythings great for about 5 min then an old lady about 105 years old comes over and complains that I give work to her friends but not to her.Suddenly I have been elevated to the position of an employer and a bad one at that, so again I relent and pay her to rub my arm now i' got three of them working on me and i'ts not relaxing the old girl is complaining about her sick brother,sick sister,I,m now feeling abit sick myself.AT last they finish and then start complaing that I,m not paying them enough considering they did such a good job on me.goodbye Kuta beach i,ts the nice pool area at the Matahari Bungalows for me from now on ,Swim up to the pool bar for a cocktail and no worries about getting knocked off my feet by a freak wave.O>K i,ll try kuta beach one more time in August I,m really practicing on my mexican to fool them.
