its a normal indonesian habit, be it javanese, balinese or whatever that they have everything at top sound.... including the TV's and radios, even on the public transport and yes they ALL have some strange hobby with loud speakers... even just a group of ibu's (ladies) having a meeting in a closed room, you will often find them using a microphone... why used a microphone in a normal sized room??? Its one strange habit they have!!
