I have lived in Jawa for 6 months before so I guess I can be one of the peopl to put my hand up. I also do not worry about Azhan and respect the culture of the people in whatever country I am in.
I also agree about the drunken "Aussies" coming back to hotels and waking everyone up, but, having said that I do think that if the local tourists from other islands come to Bali for a holiday they also must respect other paying guests in the hotel. As I said in the above post most have 4-5 or more people in a room and do not consider other guests, this, I mean by yelling out to their friends in other rooms and letting the children run around screaming, most peoeple are on holidays in Bali and deserve a "sleep in" after working hard all year or even having an enjoyable night out without being woken up at 5am by inconsiderate peoeple no matter where they are from. So to answer your question YES i have been to many parts of Jawa, sulawesi, & Sumarta just to mention afew places
