hands up everyone who has always wanted to bring out a Balinese to Australia for a holiday and to return some hospitality???
I had tried with a driver firend, had a group ready to sponsor all costs and 6 weeks cash work lined up - but he chikened out.
Now as it happens a friend from over thre who has never held a passport or left Bali to go anywhere will be here Australia Day weekend. The hotel she works for gave her a promotion and is sending her to Sydney then she is coming to the Gold Coast to stay with me. So exciting!!!!! Just so out of the blue too!
She will fly into Sydney and then do a taxi and a hotel for two days so when I pick her up it will literally be the first time she's ever been inside a western home. My mind is in turmoil over where to take her in one weeekend. Of course I'll ask her but there is just so much to do here and she has no concept of any of it. I want to show her everything.............
I've shown her a book on the Gold Coast before but she didn't seem to really get it and was amamzed by the high rises. Thinking of taking her to the Q1 which is 81 stories high for a look. I won't drag here up the top unless she's game as I haven't been up myself as yet.
Any way would appreciate suggestions as I want to make it special not a marathon. I have a very nice restautrant selected all else is the "NO Plan" plan at this time.
