Without exception, those who have been to Bali talk endlessly about the amazing "people" ...their friendlines, their happiness. So true it is. How about showing her what it's like to live here. We have many sensational dining options, but I reckon a BBQ with friends is always a great leveller and it's about as Australian as it gets! If you have any Sunday markets in your area how about showing her the contrast in market styles between Bali and here. She'll probably have seen all the big city stuff she needs in Sydeny, but there are some fabulous eating options along the Brisbane river. If there is a wildlife park close by that has roos and koalas roaming free then you can bet hand feeding a roo will be a talking point for years. I'm sure the theme parks would also be a huge hit. I thik the key is try and look at your local attractions through the eyes of a first-time visitor. We might reckon that sort of stuff is boring, but to a visitor it's a wonderland!
