Hand Luggage

I came back on from Bali on Garuda almost 3 weeks ago. I was amazed by the amount of carry on luggage some of the passengers had - obviously in excess of 7 kilos so much so one passenger with a wheel on suitcase, very large bag and 2 smaller items of luggage demanded help from the crew to move down the aisle of the aircraft and to put the luggage in the overhead locker. To add insult to injury those of us who observed the limits and boarded afterwards were held up boarding (and getting off at the end of the flight)and struggled to find room in the overhead lockers. Does Garuda actually check anything after initial checkin. I have been told some people actually hide their hand luggage when they check in and pick it up after, then procede onto the plane through the various checks wihtout question. My husband was ready to have a go at this person! While I may appear to be whinging I think it displays a lack of consideration for others by the people doing it and a lack of care by Garuda. Also for those of us that take out luggage limits into condiseration before packing it leaves me severely P***** off. What do the rest of you think? I will be back in March and really enjoy my time in Bali and that was probably my main complaint about the whole trip.
