are essentially immigrants to Bali and immigrants have traditionally suffered from prejidicial viewpoints everywhere.
As most of the posters here are Australian look at the prejudice in your own country against immigrants including those fine people from New Zealand. When I started visiting Oz on a regular basis in the 80's I was shocked to hear about Wops, Spics etc( racial epithets like that were no no to Kiwi's even then)and that Native Australians were treated as a sub species. Pom bashing is still an art form and I do believe there were a couple of scuffles at a Sydney beach a year or so ago. against immigrants.
Chinese received discrimination in NZ as late as 1940 as they did in every country they went.
Javanese are hard working people many of whom have been successful in Bali which perhaps creates jealosy.
