My son is planning

on spending six months in Bali from March 08. We have a friend who is going to write him a sponsorship letter. Will be staying with our friend and his family.

Our question is what does our friend write in the letter and does he then send it to us so that we can send to Indo.Consulate with all other relevant documents or does he hand over to some department in Bali?

How soon before leaving does he need to send his application to consulate?
