Firstly, apologies to those who hate shoe questions! In other asian countries I (female) have taken walking shoes for hiking and treking sandals for other times and one nice pair of sandals for going out. In Bali next month, and assuming it will rain a lot, what are the best type of shoes to take? We will be travelling around and hope to do a lot of off road walking but am thinking the hikinig shoes will be unessary (and hot). Would it be best to take a pair of joggers for walking or treking sandels? Treking sandels are comfortable but very ugly so probably not best for our time in Legian and Nusa Dua, but comfort is the most imortant thing.
I have read that thongs (the shoe type) are considered inappropriate. Is that correct?
Thanks for your thoughts.
