what about the mud

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the sound of the crocs because I normally can't wear thongs for a long time. But...wouldn't the croc style flick up water when the streets are wet? What about walking beside the rice paddies - isn't it muddy? Wouldn't thongs get left in the mud?
