URGENT...panic re. visa change

Hi, am having a panic as I am due to arrive in Bali on Monday from Hong Kong. My boyfriend has just spoken to the Indonesian Consulate office here, to be told that it is NO LONGER POSSIBLE to get visa's on arrival at Denpasar.New rules apparently! I'm British and he's Irish. any one know anything about this 'new rule'.
