Flight Centre was NEVER going to deliver the service. Air Paradise was going to deliver the service, as was the hotel. The service that Flight Centre was providing was booking everything, which they did.....however the credit card companies just don't see it that way. The agents ( in general ) did everything correctly....it was the airline that didn't provide the service.....however the simple fact that the agent accepted payment, even though it was meant for another party ( ie the airline ) makes them liable for the chargeback. As someone else mentioned it is not always fair, but the unfairness is enforced by those that are content with potentially putting companies out of business that did absolutely nothing wrong.

And as far as me not having to struggle for things.....how, the hell, would you know ? Personally attacking people over the internet is below me so I won't respond in kind, however I do urge you to perhaps consider people apart from yourself. Am I " on my high horse " because I disagree with you, or because I am thinking beyond the very simple premise of " not my fault, screw the next guy along the line " ? At points in our lives we all make decisions. I believe the principle behind these decisions matters a great deal, and helps shape who we are as people....and for myself, I just couldn't do it. I couldn't shut off the part of my mind that would keep repeating " it's not their fault ".
