Buying a Playstation2 in Bali?

I am planning to buy a Playstation 2 in Bali, as well as a number of games. If I do this, the playstation should be NTSE and therefore should play the bali playstation 2 games with no chip, is this correct? Do any experts out there know if it is worth doing this rather than chipping a PAL playstation, where a good place to purchase a playstation (PAL ot NTSE) in Bali, and what I should expect to pay?
