i don't think people that are not relatively sure of their safety should be in bali right now.
my feeling is it would not be doing bali any favors if we went there but brought along with us an excess of fear that something bad might happen.
As most people who have been there know, emotions tend to be amplified in bali and it probably would not be a good idea to add that feeling to bali. It needs confidence that things will get better, as they will and support the feeling that bali is bigger than whatever some foreign terrorists can inflict on her.
supporting bali from a distance and feeling safe about that would be better . like a stomach that has eaten a bad oyster , bali needs to vomit up the undesirable elements that have moved in to exploit or damage her . to do this is needs confidence to be strong and willing to do it. something it almost done after 2002 but receded before making the move.
so everyone that is not sure of their relative safety that is ok, don't feel bad about that, it is totally understandable . the best help you could do is to wish the best for bali and support from a safe strong place that it takes a step in righting and aligning itself with its core nature .
this would be much more beneficial that the limited support we could offer by supporting just a few financially by our presence there , but adding to their feeling of being scared.
if the interest is there , it would also be a good time to examine fear in our own lives in general and see how much it might have walled in our life's potential by setting up imaginary walls and fences that in reality are not really there
