I think both are great, but quite different particularly the travel and the cost required to get there. I get seasick so every time I go to Lembongan its a bit of a hell trip for me but I really love the island when I get there. The Gilis are either a really huge land and sea trip or a quick flight and then a reasonably quick boat trip. Love the Gilis particularly Gili Air but accomodation can be a bit basic for people used to 5 star hotels. If you are looking for palm trees and beaches like Kuta you wont get those but its a very friendly, lazy experience.
