to prevent this type of thing from happening again.
Here's the reality. There have been multiple bombings and continued threats of bombings. The Australian government (along with most western governments) warns its citizens against travel to Bali.
...and you are saying the best thing that can be done is for people to travel there.
Please, listen to what you are saying. That is not the "best thing the people in Oz can do"
The best thing that can be done is to put pressure on the businesses, authorities, government and people to find and catch those responsible
and to prevent that from happening again.
Then, if they do something, travel to Bali. If they do nothing, advise people not to travel until they do.
If Bali really to show caring for the sitatuation, the people would rise up and demand that the government do something and also turn in any information they know. They should make it clear they are doing everything possible to keep tourists safe and explain, in detail, what they are doing.
Google "Bali survivor fears sentence will encourage terrorists". That is an article from March of this year. That does not send the right signal to tourists. The US has Hambali in custody. They won't hand him over to the Bali authorities because of the light sentence against Abu Bakar Bashir.
