My wife returned from Bali last Saturday for the first time on her own, due to myself not going with her. As it was her 27th trip to Bali, the Customs officers decided that she had to go through " Intellegence". She was asked to follow the offices to a room and waite untill a supervises arrived. When she asked waht was happening
she was told to waite for the superviser.

When the superviser arrived he said because she was a repeat tripper to Bali that they would audit all her belongings looking for DRUGS,.

Now she was at ease and told them to go ahead,.
They used testing equipment of the electronic type and checked her bag inside and out. The lady assisting later told my wife that Bali
is a known conduit for smuggling drugs to Australia (a little late information for some young Australians).

Regina said also that they were checking everyone for alcahol and sigs, as many people would bring back what they had purchased on the way over (with a little taken out) and then buy there quota again on the way home. They used to allow this but were charging people on Satrurday for exess.

So if you have been used to doing this, beware on your next return.

Bob and Regina
