last trip my other half & I both got a really full on dose of BB when we were up in Lovina & I mean so crook all you wanna do is stay in bed.Even the locals knew I must have been ill cause I was not out walking around town talking to them <LOL>
A word of warning - do NOT eat at "Bali Kopi" in the main street - the 2 of us at night & 2 friends who ate their at lunch all got sick with BB the same day ! I have for many years been an real advocate of Norit tablets ( never again )& really do now more than before understand the real difference between genuine BB & a change in diet.
This trip it was really BB & Norit tablets were totally & absolutely useless.After 3 days of taking them & drinking plenty of water & eating virtually nothing - I was still "going" up to 15 > 20 times a day,feeling dizzy,light headed & getting shocking cramps.I was in really bad pain & felt like death warmed up.If I was a dog - they would have shot me <VBG>
I was so bad that I bit the bullet & went to an apotic & got anti-biotics.It was absolutely THE best thing I did.The very same afternoon of taking these I started to improve & continued to get better.It was a pity that "the stronger sex" <LOL> of our family would not bite the bullet like me & refused to get himself anti-biotics for another day or so.Because of this he was still pretty crook when we got home because the bug had truly got a good hold on him.
After what the 2 of us went through last trip - my advice would be is make sure you know the difference between what is a change in your diet & real BB & IF you get really crook with BB - go to either a Doctor or an Apotic - do NOT beat around the bush & prolong your agony.I sure wish I had acted quicker.Everyone needs to make their own minds up but never again IF me or mine get real BB will I be dishing out the Norit tablets for so long.They may be useful in mild cases BUT I found that if you are really crook they are as useful as " mammary glands" on a bull! ( wasn't sure if THAT word would be allowed - sure you know what I mean)
