Several of us became quite ill last year, and it wasnt BB, it was far worse and we never found out what it was. My sister left a few days prior to us and became ill back in Perth. I became ill 36 hours prior to departure and my partner became ill 5 days prior to departure however his symptoms were initially different. He began to have flue like symptoms which lasted several days then came the Diarrhoea and aching joints etc but no vomitting. I had vommitting but no diarhoea and severe nausea, I thought I was going to die. Back in Aussie we went to the emergency room and the Dr had no explanations and placed us both on a strong antibiotic, to no avail however and the symptons continued for several weeks on and off. A friend of mine at the same time had been in NG walking the Kokoda Track and returned from there with the exact same symptoms which also lasted several weeks. Anyone else experienced this? It does make me nervous thinking it could happen again and not knowing what it was.
