Bali in December

Can anyone give me some info on Bali in December. I'm travelling over for the first time in December and was wondering what its like that time of year. Are there many tourists? Is there really a lot of rain? Also can anyone tell me about the Ananda Cottages in Ubud or the Bakungsari Cottages in Kuta. Any info on any aspect of Bali is much much appreciated. THANKS.
