If I would have the choice i would not go in december. It is hot and humid but that is ok. But it might rain a lot, not all the time, the water is very warm, the beach is dirty from all the stuff people throw in the rivers. And as the rivers are full of water that time the dirt is transported in the sea and back on the beach. And during the holidays (around 20 December to 02 january) Bali is crowded by all the rich people from the other parts of Indonisia specially Java)and these people sometimes show very bad behaviour. Sometimes one does not have the chance to get a taxi...So better go from April to November.
