Have been at Christmas before and are due to arrive Christmas Day this year.
Admit and agree with the others that it is hotter and more humid but hey if you have a pool nearby you just get in more often. Just make sure you're hydrated and covered from the sun and you should be fine.
As for tourists, it is a little quieter but then with the talk of Bali becoming busy again that may be a little different this year.
We did have some rain last time we were there in December but in the heat it was actually quite nice, hard !! but refreshing. You dry darn quick. I don't know about the accommodation end tho sorry.
