Hong Kong+Bali or Java+Bali?

Hi,

Maybe a strange question, but there are a lot of experience travellers here with great info....

My girlfriend and I are dubbing for weeks now. Either we want to go (from Amsterdam) to Hong Kong (4 nights) and then about 15 nights to Bali; or we do a private tour (only minibus&driver) in central&east Java (7 nights) and then Bali for about 12 nights.

What would you do and why?
