With luck we will be able to go to a certain wedding in Pacung in a couple of months.
Can anyone give us a run down on things we should/shouldn't do so that we don't offend.
For example;
Do we wait for a written invitation?
Do we dress western style (formal or casual) or Bali style?
We have heard that gifts for the couple are shared by the whole village and may not go to our friends. Is this true?
Are gifts appropriate?
If so, to whom?
If so, should the value be kept to a minimum to prevent embarassment/return gift or can we let our head go?
Should the gift be Balinese in style or are western gifts OK?
What time do weddings usually start and how long do they take?
Will photographing be seen as offensive?
Can I kiss the bride?
Anything else we should be aware of?
