We went to one last year after being invited by the groom's father. Very informal and a lovely 3 hours. I gave a gift of towels and the other people who went gave money. They found out later that any money that is given to the couple must be spent on the wedding reception. Taking photos was no problem (we gave them a set for the family) and kissing the bride and groom was no problem. I think that they were tickled pink that we all came. We all wore slacks and short sleeve tops and the men had shorts and shirts on.
