Gamelan Sekar Jaya - the renowned Balinese gamelan based in the Bay Area, California are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a FREE outdoor festival in MLK Jr Park, Berkeley on Saturday Aug 28 from 11am - 6pm. (Sekar Jaya are a very accomplished gamelan who have been invited twice by the governor to play at the Bali Arts festival.) Some of Bali's best musicians and dancers will perform with them as well as Sundanese and Javanese groups and there will be Indonesian food and craft vendors.
