I would like to add just one other thing to Annette's posting, and her posting is absolutely right on. More than one local resident in Bali, upon learning I am from California, has mentioned Gamelan Sekar Jaya to me. They asked me if I had heard this group, who they told me was extremely good. They were obviously quite impressed. (Sekar Jaya has toured Bali, which is how they know of them.)Since that time, I have had occasion to attend Sekar Jaya performances several times, and they are indeed exceptional. Anyway, see you there Saturday!
