Travellers Checks...American Express?

Does anyone know if there's an American Express office in the Kuta area? I'm a little stressed out about all the con games that are played at currency exchanges that I read about on this forum, and I know that American Express won't try to rip me off.

Also, do some of the nicer (4 and 5-star) hotels have exchanges in them? If so, do I have to be concerned about dishonest tellers?
