I wouldn't be too concerned about electricity as hotels have generators. You should rather be concerned about getting back home, I don't think there'll be any planes going for weeks if not months after January 1st 2000. Also bring some solid gold as the fiscal system is more than likely to break down for a long period. What further effects THAT has to life in Bali I leave to your imagination. I'm definetely out of here long before the turn of the millenium.
