But really depends on the conditions especially the.swell. Don't want to scare you anymore but January is probably the worst time of year, sometimes it is so bad the big ferries don't travel but I imagine that the fast boats wouldn't go either when it's that bad.
I have been on the boats to Lembongan probably over 60 times and sometimes it's a good trip and sometimes bumpy but have always made it.
One of the things that scared me on the way to Gili's was the current was even moving the boat in a sideway motion.
Maybe flying there as well could be a good option.
