of thieves are operating in Poppies 2. On Monday they tripped over 2 young kids & while their parents were helping the girls the thieves stole mobile phones, purses & cash from hand bags & took off. Another member of the gang said that he knows who they are & for $300 for each phone he would get their phones back. A tourist Police officer appeared & the people told him what happened. He asked the second guy who the thieves were & denied all knowledge. The policeman said that they should go to the police station but the mother had the 2 small kids to look after. The "copper" said that the 2 teenage daughters should go to the station in Kuta & report it. He said they will need 400000rp each for a police report. He then "arranged" a car to take them there. After the report the driver would only drop them off at the corner of Poppies 1 & they had to walk back to their hotel by themselves at about 1am. BEWARE OF THESE THIEVES.
