A friend is interested in travelling to Bali and the Gili Islands (from Canada) for her honeymoon mid September. I am not really familiar with the Gili Islands so am hoping to get some suggestions to pass along to her. Which island would be best to stay on (5 nights. They are young, active but don't necessarily want the party scene.
They will be coming from Ubud. Is it best to go to Padang Bai and take a boat or fly to Lombok? If they fly to Lombok is it hard to get a transfer to the islands?
Hotel suggestions? Looking for something nice (honeymoon style). $150-250 per night. Beachfront, restaurant, maybe a spa???? They are flexible on which island they stay on so if they can find a really nice hotel on a great beach, that will probably make the decision for them.
Does anyone think 5 nights is too much in the Gili Islands?
