Palms Resort vs Shangrila Beach Club

Hi
I would appreciate any comments on these two properties in Candidasa who have recently stay there please. We are travelling over the Christmas period in this area with 2 Adults and our 13 year old daughter for 8 days.

I can't decided which would suit us better. We plan to eat out each night and chill by the pool during the day. We would like a Dvd shop and a supermarket close by if possible.
