Thought I need to share this to see if any business minded people could explain this too me. I am flying over shortly and thought I would splash out and upgrade to business class, I first checked through the airline website how many business class seats were available.... Yep heaps, I think they had only sold 4. And there is only a week before we fly.
I ri g the airline and ask for a price to upgrade...... After some time I get a price of wait for it $2800 extra. I ask if that is the best deal they could do as if they could give me a better price I could get my friends who are traveling on the flight too to take the upgrade also, short answer No.
Can some explain that I was will to pay a bit more (not 2800 more) for an upgrade, ie spend more money with the airline but they give a price that is complete unrealistic. Why would they not jump at the chance to get a customer to pay more for a flight they are on for seats that are empty anyway?
