may be a bit harsh, they reduced the limit allowed into Oz from 1 x carton or 200gms or 200 ciggies to 2 and a half packets, 50 cigs or 50 grms, bloody ludicrous, there is no Duty Free shop that sells by the single packet.......it has made us a laughing stock in the eyes of other world travelers. They have done this because some little Gvmt bean counter has worked out how much extra tax the PUBLIC is NOT PAYING.
The non smokers have not batted an eyelid on this, but when there is a 500ml booze limit and a 10ml perfume limit.......it may well be a different story.
PS The Pollies do not have to declare on official overseas trips.
