I am a smoker and I am very aware of how bad it smells for other people and always remove myself from others when I need a ciggie. What annoys me is: I could smoke a packet (I don't but hypothetically) of cigarettes a day, get in my car drive home and harm nobody but myself. Yet if I drank a carton of beer or a bottle of spirits a day and then get in my car and drive home, I am a very real danger to everybody on the road, not to mention abused partners, parents, children, vomit on the streets, bad behavior in public, suicides etc etc. As for the comment someone made on the amount smokers cost our medical system, I hope you also take into account the cost alcohol has on our medical/emergency system and the heatbreak our medical/emergency services deal with day in and day out from alcohol related car accidents? Having had my rant....as Hillary has so wisely stated smoking/drinking is nobody's business but their own.
