Had a sleep in today - didn't wake up until Miss 6 climbed into bed with us at 7am. It was after 1am before I got to sleep though - the dance party at Potato Head kept me awake until then!

Hubby, Mum & Dad 2 and the kids head down to breakfast but I decide to give it a miss today as we've booked to go to Ku De Ta for brunch at 10am (Sunday Family Dayze) and I'm saving my appetite for then.

I took Miss 6 for a haircut at Amo and when we were leaving I booked myself a Shellac polish and a pedicure for Wed morning before we leave. Hubby & Mum 2 have gone on the laundry run. The laundry they're using is ridiculously cheap - our daily bill is around RP 2,000 (I also got a bonus g-string that didn't belong to me yesterday LOL).

We'd planned to walk along the beach to Ku De Ta but by the time everyone was back in the rooms it was already 10am so we jumped in a taxi instead.

We've meant to take Miss 6 to the Family Dayze at KDT on every trip but just never made it there. It's a fantastic set up - the kids had a ball doing crafts, swimming in the water feature & playing on the little bouncy castle. I really enjoyed the change from the buffet breakfast. Didn't have anything too fancy - a croissant with honey baked ham, fresh tomato & Gruyere cheese - but it was delicious! The tomatoes were the best I've tasted - so sweet & flavoursome. Hubby had a crab & chilli omelette, Mum 2 the ricotta hotcakes which were melt in your mouth, light & fluffy - she let me have a bite :o) Dad 2 had a blueberry crumble top muffin (he had a full breakfast with the kids). The mango & coconut lassi was yummy but not as good as the banana & coconut smoothie at La Lucciola. Kids all had milkshakes, we had a couple of coffees and 4 lots of Gelato, plus other non-alcoholic drinks. Bill came to RP 1.1 million which is expensive but we spent over 3 hours there while the kids played & for most of us it was 2 meals in 1.

We left KDT about 1.30 and hubby & I caught a taxi to Bintang Supermarket while the others went back to the hotel. When we were out last night hubby had found a linen shirt he wanted but they didn't have his size in the Jl Laksmana store. They'd told us they had it at their other shop on Jl Raya Seminyak, a few doors up from Bintang so we went there & picked up his shirt then stocked up on Lux bodywash soft packs (only $2 ea), Kispray refills and another bag of fresh limes for my nightly balcony drinks. Also bought a bottle of Bali Moon Lychee liqueur so hubby can get his Lychee martini fix when we get home.

Loaded up with bags, hubby gets a taxi back to the Semara while I do what I do best... SHOP!!

Picked up a pair of Ipanema thongs for RP 179,000, and was tempted to buy more but as I only have 2 feet I guess there's a limit to how many pairs I need LOL.

Also bought a really cute printed cotton top at Divine Diva outlet - they had a 70% off sale and it only cost me RP 105,000. Was going to buy a dress too but didn't have enough cash and the EFTPOS machine was broken :o(

Carrying on up the street I spot a shop I've never seen before - it's called Passport and the window sign says they stock sizes 8 to 24. I'm a 16-18 and usually don't bother looking for clothes here so it got my attention. The owner/designer is Australian & there are some very flattering jersey dresses & tops (expensive but the quality is very good). I tried on about 4 or 5 different dresses & could've bought them all if I'd been able to afford it! I settled on 1 - a black & white jersey colourblock dress which was RP 800,000. It's really versatile - could be dressed up or down & I know I'll get heaps of wear out of it. I am very tempted to go back tomorrow & buy one more but will have to sleep on it first! It is well worth a look if you want quality over quantity (styles are more suited to age 40+ women than the younguns!)

Also paid a visit to homewares store Bali Zen. I've looked in there before but never bought or asked the price of anything (just assumed that because it's in Seminyak it'd be expensive!). Was pleasantly surprised though - I ended up buying a table runner, 8 placemats, 8 napkins & napkin rings, a set of 8 coasters and 4 cushion covers for RP 900,000. They have table linens, doona covers & cushion covers in fashionable coordinating colours & tropical prints (all in cotton). Just gorgeous.

After 4 hours of walking & shopping my feet were protesting so I jumped in a taxi back to the hotel and picked up hubby and Miss 6 for an early dinner. The other family were putting their 2 boys in the kids club while they had dinner at Biku but Miss 6 was tired & didn't want to join them. We put her in Mr 3's stroller & walked down to Mano Beach Cafe again. Was nice kicking back on the lounges while having a cold beer & watching the sun go down. I had a grilled Red Snapper with Balinese marinade & sauce, rice & veges, Miss 6 had fish & chips, hubby had Spaghetti Marinara, 2 Bintangs & a Mango juice and the bill was only RP 201,000. We went from one extreme to the other today with beachfront restaurants & their prices!

Hubby is downstairs at the Semara Spa now having the "It's All About Me" package. He booked it yesterday while Miss 6 and I were having our manicures and afterwards the (male) receptionist came & said to me "Excuse me Madam but your husband book the "Mother to Be" package? Too funny!

We are all off to Waterbom Park tomorrow with the kids so having a very early night tonight to prepare - my rickety old knees are going to cop a hammering tomorrow with all those steps!!
