Tobacco laws

A while back there was talk that the Indonesia government we're going to make it law to fine people who smoked in Restaurants and people were not allowed to sell/buy tobacco in tourist area's (if you did buy or sold tobacco you could land in Kerobekan Jail).
Have not heard anymore about this and was wondering as I'm going to Bali soon and I always pick up some tobacco for a friend. Can someone enlighten me please .
