If you are shopping at Woolworths and Woolworths Bank is ANZ and your Bank is ANZ then a refund transaction is quicker because you both use the same Bank. If you were shopping at Woolworths and their bank is ANZ and your Bank is Westpac it has to go via the ANZ to get to Westpac. If you are shopping anywhere and ever get what is called a FALLBACK on your Eftpos and have to sign your Eftpos slip it is to acknowledge that the transaction has taken some time to go through via another bank line. I am with westpac and have the same thing waiting, waiting. Hope this helps you
