I am with Westpac and I rang them at 8.00am last Friday when I heard Air Australia had folded. The lady took the info off me and gave me a Ref: Number and said I would receive a letter from Westpac in 7-10 days that I must answer straight away and that a temporary charge back would show on my statement, which to date hasn,t and then Air Australia has 45 days to contest it. I have rang three times now to Westpac and have sent a formal complaint and getting no where. I have asked how can Bank of Qld and ANZ give refunds in two days but others have to wait longer. Going to ring again today. Asked could I go to the local branch, told no had to wait for letter, asked could they email or fax letter, no again. Starting to get worried.
