To be fair I have to say that the owners of the villa were very distressed at the bad start we had to our holiday.I had contacted them in NZ,they went out of their way tomake up for the situation. They contacted us several times throughout our stay to make sure things were back on track.
We arrived on the 30th Dec and waited an hour and a half to be collected from the airport. Finally we decided that enough was enough and caught a taxi. The traffic was horrendous and, when not totally sure of where to turn on Double Six St,we missed the entrance and had to go back around thru Werkudara and Legian St to come back to D6.The taxi driver accused us of wasting his time,it was stinking hot...not happy me.We finally arrived, almost three hours after landing to find that the pool was green. That was the straw that broke the camels back!!Within two days it was fine but as we had got off to such a start I felt as if the staff were very wary of the grumpy Australian woman. This is obviously not a common occurence as the guest register was full of compliments. The driver organised by them to take our friends to the airport was so rude that our friends elected to get out near the Padma and orgsnise transport for themselves. This ride had been offered ny the housemaid in an attempt to make up for arrival disaster and ended up upsetting good mates who had accepted the gesture. We have a driver, who is also our friend, and luckily did nit have to deal with this fellow.I can assume that he is also the one who failed to pick us up.
