I flew Jakarta/Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia on 21st December and was so impressed by Malaysia's recently-introduced paperless Immigration. No forms to be completed, so don't panic if they are not distributed in flight.
On arrival at KLCC you simply proceed directly to Immigration where your Passport will be stamped. A small sticker is attached to the page where your arrival is stamped and leaving is equally simple.
I don't understand why there would be any additional charge applicable if departing KLCC for Denpasar as I was not required to pay any fees when re-entering Immigration for my Air Asia flight Kuala Lumpur/Jakarta. Personally, I can't see why Denpasar should be any different to Jakarta.
