a long spell in Bali let me explain what happened for my 3rd visa renewal (after 4 months in Bali).
1. 10 days before expiry of 2nd visa renewal.(Needs to be renewed every month after first 2 months). pick up forms to be completed. They don't give you all the forms. (Pay 6000rp).
2. 1 week before expiry return the completed forms (plus others.
When I present them they tell me that this time I need 2 sets of forms. They direct me to the building 100m down the road to get photocopies. 2000rp.
Take the photocopies back & present again.
Given number & sit & wait for 25 minutes.
Number called & forms checked & stamped. Sit down & wait please.
After 30 minutes called up again & given receipt for passport & told to come back in 4 days to pay.
3. Go back after 4 days & hand over the form previously given. Told to sit down & wait.
After 30 minutes called up, given back the form & told to go to cashier.
Line up at cashier for 10 minutes.
Cahier informs me that system is down. Pay the money 250000rp & she amends the form (normally they give you another piece of paper as a receipt which you take back to the previous counter). As system not working & can't print the receipt I have to use the amended form.
Come back in 4 days (between 1pm & 3pm) to collect passport.
4. Back in 4 days & hand over the form.
I think this is where confusion takes place as it is not the usual form. told to sit down & wait.
Sit & wait& wait
After 1 hour I ask what is the delay. Told to sit & wait.
After 1.5 hours I ask again & told in process. (2 other people also still waiting about the same time).
After 2 hours I go up again, as have the other 2 people, & somebody decides to investigate as it is near closing time (3pm).
Eventually called up & told to take the stamped file to Renon in Denpasar for approval.
Travel the 15 km & eventually find the place I have been directed to & there is NO mention of imigration on the building.
The staff there process my file in about 2 minutes & tell me to take it back to imigrasi in Tuban next day.
5. Go back to Tuban next day. Told to sit & wait.
6.After 15 minutes called up< given receipt & told to come back in 4 days to collect paasport.
7. Go back after 4 days hand over form, wait 20 minutes & receive passport.
UNBELIEVABLE.
It is almost time to apply for next renewal. I think I will give it a miss return to Oz.
