Without wanting to sound like your mother maybe you should make a long term plan if you intend staying for longer.
I had a KITAS, in fact I had 14 of them, which are good for a 12 month stay. As with the short term VISAS you only need to renew them every 3rd time so you only visit Immigrasi after 3 years.
It also entitles you to an Indonesian drivers license, no VOA and there isn't even any FISCAL to pay any more (YAY!!!).

I have just set up another company and as a director I am required to have both a KITAS and a work permit; you can get away with the min for around $10k initial set up costs and then about $1200/ year ongoing.
