That is exactly what the positive side of "orphanage tourism" is.
A share and care approach with the kids
They love POSITIVE interaction from visitors and can learn a lot from it.
They often do not get outings, and almost never get holidays like western kids so their education and life views need to be taken to them
Soccer balls and throwing a few hoops or kicks with them: Yo Yo's and the achievement of tricks: frisbees and the motor skills they get; a bubble pipe: take some chalk and draw a square for hopscotch awarding a small prize; but best of all is taking scrap books of your life, pets, family
I have even begun taking my laptop with a presentation of daily aussie life, and including photos of the kids that were taken on my previous visits. We took 24 Bali Kids to KFC for the "works", but the playground equipment that westerners take for granted was the hit.
Yes, sometimes the kids have to do a little performance to visitors but that is the way that they learn to show thanks for what they (hopefully) receive
