Duty Free Question

Okay, so I am confused!! So we are going on a Jetstar flight from Melb to Bali in 2 weeks. From what I can gather, you cannot take duty free alcohol as carry on correct? This wouldnt usually be an issue as I dont drink but as we are getting married we wanted to get champs as the stuff in Bali is shocking. So of course then I thought thats ok, they might have something decent at the airport in Bali. Then I remembered there is no Duty Free in the arrivals at the airport!!!

Is this correct, can I not take alcohol over with me?????
